Fake ICICI Bank Website – Beware of phishing email
Duplicate ICICI Bank Website: Given below is the sample of a phishing mail that internet users may receive.
The above mail invites recipients to log into their ICICI bank account to update online security. The mail has originated from updates.retail@icicibank.co.in and looks very genuine with the ICICI bank logo. As we can see, a link to log into the bank account is also provided in the mail. Let us see what happens when we click on the link.
Produced above is the screenshot of the fake login provided by the phishing mail. Please see the address bar from where this fake login has originated. The address is http://www.wisdomalpha.com.sg. Note that the letter ‘s’ is missing in ‘http’ which means the address/link is not secured.
Now we produce below the original secured ICICI bank’s login site.
The original site address is https://infinity.icicibank.co.in/…… bearing the letter ‘s’ in ‘http’ which means the site is secured. You can also see a picture of a closed lock in the address bar to indicate that the site is secured.
So be aware of these differences and do not access your bank account through these fake sites. Always access your account through the bank site as published by your bank. Contact your bank in case of any doubts about the security/genuiness of your bank’s website

Hi,
Thanks for spreading the word on such deceptive emails.
You’re right – there are unscrupulous elements we all have to beware of. You’ll be glad to know ICICI Bank already has precautionary measures in place to counter phishing. A large part of it is informing customers of what they need to be aware of at all times.
How ICICI Bank customers can avoid becoming victims of phishing and other online scams.
1. Log in to http://www.icicibank.com
2. Once you login, ensure that the URL on the browser begins with https://infinity.icicibank.co.in
3. Ignore all pop-up windows asking for login details or other sensitive information. ICICI will not ask for any information in pop-ups
4. Please forward the e-mail received by you at antiphishing@icicibank.com for us to investigate
5. Verify the security certificate of the site you are on by clicking on the padlock icon of your internet browser.
We hope you find this of value.
Please do reach us at care@icicibank.com if you’d like to connect with us.
Regards,
ICICI Customer Service Team
