ICICI Home Finance fails to return matured Deposit

Complaint against ICICI Home Finance: I placed a deposit with ICICI Home Fin.  This matured on 06th Feb and as per instructions from ICICI Home Fin I surrendered the Receipt duly discharged to ICICI Velachery Branch Chennai  on 23rd January 2010.  Till 08th Feb  my money has not been refunded to me.  When I telephoned the Manager to whom I handed over the receipt under his signature says he will check status and revert but does not do.  Even my complaint to the concerned Branch Head met with the same result.  My money is blocked. I am a Senior Citizen and being mentally tortured.  What should I do ?

    After a fight, supported by ICF, lasting for nearly ten days the ICICI have refunded the money today (15th). But the interest element for the delay, caused due to ICICI staff’s disinterested/apathetic way of working, has not been paid to me despite my demand to this extent in all my correspondance. This shows how poorly they take care of customers’ interest. This incident has further made me, a retired Senior Citizen, to think whether at all it is worth giving ICICI any business.

    After pursuing the matter further with ICICI, Mr. Chandrasekaran has now received interest for the delayed period (albeit not for the full delay period).

    This issue now stands closed.
