Amazon not arranging reverse pick-up for defective laptop

I ordered a laptop on on 8th dec. It was defective. So I scheduled pick up for return online at Nobody came for pick up or called. Later I set up pick up request 3 more times by chat spending 4-5 hours in total. But all those 3 attempts failed, nobody called or came (they confirmed our address and phone number earlier so there is no communication problem at all). But today when I was chatting with amazon representative, they told me everytime the pick up was “refused” although nobody really came to pick up or even call. This is insane. This is a horrible way amazon is trying to sell their defective products, planning pickup bluffs. I would like amazon to not only return my money for defective product but also compensate me for my time spent over rectifying their fault
