Asus service complaint

I purchased a ASUS Zenfone 5 A501CG mobile from flipkart on 03/02/2015. The mobile is still under asus one year manufacture warranty.

In july suddenly the display of the mobile stopped working. I took the phone to asus authorised service center in ahmedabad. After inspecting for about a minute, they asked me to let them take the mobile inside and analyse after opening it. I allowed them. After around 4-5 minutes, they returned and showed me a strip which was pink. They claimed that when the strip turns pink, its a proof of water damage. There was no other signs of water damage. Based on the colour of strip solely they concluded the phone has suffered water damage. No further analysis was carried out. They told me it shall cost around Rs 9000 to replace the display. The original price of the phone was around Rs 8000. After dong some research myself I found out that there could be multiple reason for that inside strip to turn pink like humidity etc. and it is not conclusive in a court of law that the phone has suffered water damage. There was no other signs of water damage and and as a user of that phone i can claim with utmost conviction that it has never suffered water damage. But Asus refused to inspect the phone further and declined any warranty on the phone. I let other mobile repair shops inspect the phone and they all concluded that there was no sign of water damage and the strip is just a ploy used by Asus to decline warranty. I faced a lot of trouble, harassment and mental agony on account of your poor service. Please suggest a solution.
