I had booked a room at Port meridianin port Blair for my parents from 23 to 26 may 2016. The room was confirmed and payment was done via credit card. On the 23 Rd in the morning I received a mail from goibibo saying that there was some problem in their system and due to that the room for which I had paid was not available and they would provide me another room which would be an upgrade to the first one. The second room they offered was available on their own site at a lower price than the one I had paid for but I asked to adjust for one day. Meanwhile my parents had landed… On reaching this second hotel again even this room was not available. I was in constant touch with goibibo help desk and I talked to Nxxxxa_IB1635… She asked me to wait for half an hour so that some other arrangement could be made. After waiting for 3 hrs without a hotel room at around 5 PM I was told that a refund would e given and no room was available where as more than 10 rooms were available on goibio itself( I have a screenshot to proove this ). Since then I have been writing to goibibo every day and the keep sending a system generated email saying that the issue is resolved…. In the end they offered 1000 gocash as a compensation for the harassment which I did not accept. I HV been writing to AxxxxxB 1691 and Axxxxxxxxt CD_IB1908. My parents eventually found a room but that day was wasted so I would like a compensation for the harassment for an amount that is equal to one day of expense of the trip.
