We moved from Ranchi to Gurgaon last month and we contacted Omdeo Packers and movers in Ranchi to pack our household belongings. They packed everything on 29th March and we received our things on 3rd April in Gurgaon. Alot of our stuff came out broken and we have 3 full cartons missing from the lot. Since the day we have arrived, we have been contacting them and complaining against the grievance but there is no response from their end. We contacted the manager Mr. Rxxxxxxxxxh in Ranchi who was responsible for the entire transit but he has been saying that its too late for us to complain now, nothing can be done. Since the day the porters unloaded the goods, we kept telling them that there are only 35 cartons instead of 38 but they kept denying it and said it might be there in the room and it cannot be missing. Since we have now opened all the boxes, it seems that these people had opened the boxes in between because some goods packed together is there and somethings are missing.
The manager in Ranchi had kept delaying about the insurance slip and said we would get the receipt once everything reaches gurgaon. No one gave us a receipt of the insurance and neither did we get any mail regarding it.
We really want the consumer Forum to look into this matter. We have lost some precious crockery, woollen clothes and other important household items that had been in the family since many years. Hoping to receive some reponse soon. The docket number is 206588.
