I had entrusted a tailor with the task of stitching half a dozen salwars. They were very expensive materials. Even though the material was given well in time on last september, 2016), the tailor delayed delivery and gave them only last month. (He had promised to give it on october 2016. I had payed the stitching charges 1500? in advance and 1400? via netbanking on november 2016 itself). Initially, he Said he had couried already and couldnt locate the address, his assistant had absconded with that and so on.. Later after many visits and calls, it was found unstitched lying on the floor.. He promised and said evrything ll be ready by january and each time played hide and seek with the dress, and finally gave it on last month. On trying them on, I found that he had spoilt all of them. The fit was not right and the designs were different from what I had specified. It completely upset my mood and caused considerable distress. Now when i ask he said its my urgency that he couldnt stitch properly and asking me to go and verify.. Can I take any action against the tailor? I paid very high tailoring charges too.
