Complaint against Sterling Holidays Resorts

Shri S……..z k…..n, Sales representative of Sterling Holidays ( at Sales Office, Raghuleela Mall Vashi – Navi Mumbai), offered me freebies such as LCD TV and two week holiday stay at sterling holidays without any membership and also without any emi deductions for the amount of Rs.19,294/- on 25/11/2012 which he deducted the said amount from my HDFC Credit Card on the spot. Shri S…….z K…..n promise that LCD TV will be within 45 days.

But later on I come to know that Shri Sa…….z K….n fooled me that there was no LCD received at home and not any two year stay coupon delivered to me. Moreover, em of Rs.11,255/- was deducted on 7th January 2013 from HDFC Credit Card without my consent. That is absolute unauthorized credit card deduction which is violating RBI norms. Immediately, on 7rh January 2013 I talked to Shri S……..z K……n about this unauthorized deduction through credit card. Shri S…….z K……n agreed to make refund the same and he approach to his senior Shri Vi…….y S…..h at Andheri Office of Sterling Holidays. But Shri Vi…..y Si……h never turned up and once again second emi deducted through my credit card at their Chennai Office.

I found there is no response from Sterling Holidays and only amount collecting from common people without their consent. So I followed up with Shri S………z K……..n and Shri V……..y S……..h to refund my amount and cancellation of membership no.1208626.

Shri Sa……..z Kh…..n totally fooled me and now he is not responding to any of email.

Shri Vi………y Si……..h sent email with his reply that there will be 25% deduction and so on.

But till the date there is no reply from M/s Sterling Holidays in this matter.

Meanwhile I have received membership card no.1208626 in the month January 2013.

In this matter, I sent letter to refund my money and cancellation of member ship at Corporate Office at Chennai. A email copy ( where I mentioned to Shri Vi……..y Si……..h to cancel my membership and refund my amount ) with my signature sent thru ordinary post to Shri V……..y Si……h.

I am rigorously following up with sales officer Shri Sa……….z Kh……n for cancellation of my membership ( membership number 1208626 ) and refund of amount.

I understood it is very common thing among these people to conned people in this fashion and never hesitate for unauthorized credit card deduction.
It is waste of time and money to follow up these staff of Sterling Holidays.
Therefore, I request you please help me to get my money back.

    At initial stage, I was disappointed with M/s Sterling Holidays as one of your sales representative offered stay at Sterling Holidays without any emi deductions and thereafter emi deductions started without my notice.

    I was following up with Sterling Holidays for last four months and after a long waiting, I need to take help of Indian Consumer Forum.

    Indian Consumer Forum help me a lot with their steps taken to resolve the said issue.

    After a long time, one of your Customer Relation ( Asst. Manager, Sterling Holidays) ) Shri Zahid Ansari contact me personally and he put a lot of efforts to resolve the said issue.

    Shri Zahid Ansari achieved to make good relation with Sterling Holidays as well as with customer and made fruitful achievement to refund my money back.

    So please treat that this case is closed.

    i am promised by Sterling holiday executive for interest waive off on my credit card EMI. Firstly he told me that i would get HDFC gift voucher of ‘x’ amount and then told me that company has stopped giving voucher and will get Cheque of the same amount.
    Also he promised me that he will rent out room so that i could have some income from that. I bought membership even i didnt have sufficient fund as he promised me for renting.
    Also whenever i am calling him, he is ignoring my call/sms/whats up.
    Can anybody advise on the same.

    I believe Thomas cook has bough good stake in Sterling which make good brand value and more faith and transparency in sterling business but this is totally myth.

    Refund not yet received. Company is playing fool with me and adopting unfair means and quite unable to provide the details of payment evidence as it is a false statement having no proof of payment. Complaint to public grievance commission and Bankruptcy and Insolvency board already given and auto acknowledged.
    More complaints are on process. It is time to rethink with consultation with AIRDA for betterment of the Company.
