I was supposed to get a consignment from Kolkata, which was sent by Urmil Leather Complex, on 24 March 2018. This consignment was sent by the manufacturer on priority through BlueDart courier and for which the manufacturer paid Rs 2000. This consignment’s date of delivery was assured to be 26 March 2018. This consignment was addressed to my father. I checked on the morning of 26 March 2018 about the status of my consignment and the site shows that it is still at the Kolkata centre at 2341 hours on 24 March 2018, with no further updates. My brother’s wedding is on 27 March 2018 and the consignment contained hand designed clothes from Kolkata. I called the Customer Care of Blue Dart and the executive there told me the same thing that he could see that there was no update and assured me that he will inform his team and update me. I waited for the update which never came. I again called the Customer Care at 1345 hours on 26 March 2018 and again enquired about the status of the consignment. This time a female called Hxxxxxxi told me that she was also helpless and maybe the consignment will reach tomorrow evening. I told her that there was no point in the consignment reaching tomorrow as the event would be over. She said that she will raise the issue. I also offered that if she could tell me that the consignment had reached their office in Delhi, I would go there myself and pick it up. She asked me for my address and contact number despite knowing it already. I then asked her to give me the number of the area or the regional manager so that I could speak to him or her directly. She told me it was not possible. I want to take this company to the court for ruining my brother’s wedding and leaving misguided and false claims as to their professionalism.
