My 40″ videocon led-tv (with inbuilt set-top box)  was purchased from vijay Sales (bhandup branch) on March 13th 2015. Following the purchase the process (as explained to me) was to deliver the tv (by vijay Sales) and Installation (by videocon), which is completed in total 4 days.

My tv is still lying in the house  and Vijay Sales has been falsely communicating the installation schedule of the videocon personnel. Since I am living alone, I need to be away from work to stay indoors for tv installation. The installation had not happened for 9 business days following which I escalated the complaint. Then the company gave me installation committed time of March 24 (evening), March 25th (morning), March 26 (uncommitted) March 28 (morning 11…personally by videocon official).

I believe when the customer is charged in full during the time of purchase, he is entitled to getting the installation service. The unprofessionalism of the two parties (vijay sales and videocon) is appalling. I believe that the customer forum should penalize the two parties for wasting time of a working professional for over 5 days. Else the policy of payment to the sales party be changed so that they are accountable for the service they need to provide.  I expect both parties to provide me due compensation for the time they have  wasted in committing to installing and not showing up (without any due communication)

These kind of business ethics and practices need to change if we are to ever be world class in anything. I feel that consumers are the driving force behind the economy and at this time they suffer the most.

Kindly help with the complaint and get the involved parties to compensate me for loss of time. I have attached the receipt of the bill which was given to me when the tv was delivered to my house (no installation)
