Complaint regarding delivery from Utsav Fashions

On the 22nd of November 2015 I had ordered a “Dark Red Jacquard Sherwani, size-46, cash on delivery” from the website of Utsav Fashion, their standard delivery time being mentioned as “25days”. On the 23rd of November 2015 one of their guys called me up, asking for the complete payment in advance. When I declined he asked me to make an advance payment as because as per their policy any order worth more tha Rs 5000 requires some advance payment and my order was worth Rs 5245. I agreed and made an advance payment of Rs 1000.

On the 24th of December 2015 I mailed them regarding my order and then spoke with their Customer Care. They promised to inquire into the querry. On the 3rd of January 2016 they mailed me they will be taking another 10-12 days to dispatch the order. I insisted on cancellation of the order but they promised to make the delivery. I informed them that I shall be out of station from the 13th to the 19th of January so none will be there to recieve the order. They told me to inform them via their live chat regarding when to dispatch the order. I told them further that I shall be up in the mountains where there mightbe a network problem so in case I fail to inform them, they must dispatch the order by the 17th as I require the item before the 26th of January by any means. They still insisted on informing them when to dispatch. I agreed and spoke to them on the 19th regarding dispatch of the order. They informed me that they will be sending the tracking details within 24-48 hrs. When nothing was sent I further spoke to them on the live chat & they informed me that the item has been dispatched on the 21st. I waited for 5 days. When no tracking id was sent I once again spoke to them on the 25th regarding my order. They oce again sweared that the item has been dispatched on the 21st & it is India Post who is responsible for this delay. Finally they sent me the tracking number on the 27th of January. When I inquired into it, to my shock, I found that the item had been booked for parcel with India Post on the 27th of January, 10: 30 am, at Okhla Industrial estate, New Delhi.

I spoke with their customer service immediately asking for a refund and cancellation as because it was impossible for the item to reach by 2 days here. I had got my occasion on the 29th of January. What would be the use of it if I recieve it after the occasion? ? They declined the same.
Yesterday that is on the 29th of January, 2016 my occasion was over and today that is on the 30th, they send me a feel good mail that my order has been dispatched. I informed them that there was no other option left now other than reject the parcel if it comes and lodge a complaint with the consumer protection forum.
This is the was Utsav Fashion has fooled me & God knows how many more.
