I have been using an Aircel number since 4 years. Lately due to some technical issues, i decided to port my Aircel number to Vodafone. I visited my nearest Vodafone store in Kolkata (Ruby Kasba branch), where I completed all the necessary documentations as directed. I was told that my number will be ported in 7 days. After 7 days when it did not happen, I visited them again and they assured help. They informed me that my porting request has been rejected. I contacted the Aircel customer care and mailed them repeatedly regarding the same, but there was no response whatsoever (except useless auto responses) from Aircel. After 15 days i ported my number again but Vodafone informed me that my porting request is being rejected. I have dropped several mails and queries to Aircel but both their customer service and appellate division has not responded yet. This is not the first time i am facing difficulty with Aircel service. I had sudden balance cuts in the past years and when i visited their store (Rash Behari Avenue branch) I was told that these things happen and that there is no guarantee that these balance cuts will not happen in future. The customer service desk is also very rude.

I am confused about who (Vodafone or Aircel) is actually responsible for this difficult situation and whom to approach in order that the problem is resolved I am relieved from the daily hassles of following this up with both the parties.

Any help with regard to the above will be deeply appreciated.
