I had made a hotel booking through Cleartrip.com for a Hotel Room in Vrindavan ( UP) on 7th August around 12 :00 Hrs for Check in on 8th August 2015 and check out on 9th August 2015 and paid fully for it.

I immediately received a confirmation from Cleartrip.com that a room was booked for me under Voucher no.CHMM# 6531324 with the Hotel Name as OYO Premium ISKON Vrindavan and the address as Raman Reti Marg Vrindavan.

On reaching Vrindavan , at about 6 PM, I started looking for this Hotel , but couldn’t trace this hotel, and was advised by the locals there that there is no Hotel by this name.

On calling the Hotel Number, indicated in the booking Voucher , It turned out to be a Call Center number of a Hotel Room Aggregator and I am sure everybody would appreciate the pain one has to go through to reach the right desk in the call center.

I was finially able to reach the right desk and was informed that my room was booked in a Hotel by the name of Hotel Krishnam on Raman Reti Marg.

At about 8:30 Pm I was able to locate the Hotel, but was in for more surprises. the Hotel denied me an entry saying that they have received no details of any such bookings and that They were Sold Out

I now called the cleartrip support number, and the person at the other end offered me a patient hearing and asked me to wait for 15 minutes to resolve the fiasico.

I checked with the Hotel again at about 9 : 20 PM and the reply in negative, I was also made to understand by the Hotel Staff, that this was a standard practice of OYO and a lot of guests are left stranded by OYO like this.

I called the cleartrip support number again and now the customer care executive claimed that the mail had been sent to the hotel and they would allow me to check in, he even connected me on a CON Call with somebody claiming to be the Hotel Manager, since the call was not audible to me and I was running out of Phone battery, i checked with the hotel staff if they had received confirmation from Cleartrip or OYO and the answer was negative.

Looking at my condition, the hotel staff claimed that they could offer me a room , however I would have to make an upfront payment to the hotel and would be in a different Price category

I had no option but to accept and I was able to check in at 9:42 pm after making a direct payment to the hotel which was about Rs,1000 more than the rates i had booked on

Such irresponsible attitude of Cleartrip and their associates not only left me stranded for more than 3 Hrs, but I also lost the opportunity of having an evening darshan at the temple , which was the purpose of my visit.

I wish to file criminal cases for cheating and misrepresentation of facts and want an exemplary punishment melted out to such portals.
