I was in search of part time job. I applied to certain data entry jobs online. On 23/11/18 got a call from a lady named Hxxxxa. She told me I have to enter 700 forms in 7days online via some link they would provide. But at first they made me sign digitally in a legal contract form. Then they provide a user I’d and asked to do the work from 24/11/18 but on a condition that I can not do multiple login from single user I’d. I started the work on 24 Nov. On 26 nov 2018 in morning 7.30am my user I’d was blocked since by mistake I logged in from my mobile then without logging it out I again logged in on my system . On enquiry in the company’s customer care number they told me that I will get a call from technical department to solve my issue. In the evening 3.20pm on the same day 26 Nov I got a call from advocate Mr. A A. Axxxi threatening me that due to multiple login you have caused damage to there online server and incurred server maintenance cost of Rs. 50000(Rs. 25000 for the software they provide plus Rs. 25000 for damage to server). So legally I have to pay a sum of Rs. 50000 to the company by Indian contract act 1872 sec 73. He has asked me to revert on his number to fix date in the court for further legal action (Surat, Gujrat). Please do the needful ASAP.
