I have purchased a HTC 816 dual sim handset on 19th July 2014 from a dealer by name “The phone store” at Indiranagar bangalore. After purchase within 5 months on dec 2nd 2014 i faced a issue with the handset where it was not getting booted and not getting charged.

I had submitted the handset to a service center where they repaired the same and gave it.

Again i faced the same issue in the month of March 2015 and handed over to the service center.

Again in the month of June 2015 i faced the same issue where the handset was not getting charged and booted. I raised the issue with the call center and had asked for a replacement. After long discussions the HTC team finally came up with a solution stating they will change the mother board and gave me a extended warranty for another 3 months.

I had repeatedly told the HTC Team that there is a manufacturing defect in my handset but they failed to acknowledge.

Again i am presently facing the same issue and i have handed over the handset to the service center on Nov 4th 2015. I had called up the call center and they again had a long conversation. Finally they have decline my request of replace ment.

I have taken this handset on EMI basis from HDFC Bank. The cost of the handset is 25000/- and HTC has taken things for granted and has given me a defective handset. They ahve cleverly played it where once the warranty period is over, they are not even bothered to take any further steps to listen to their customers.
