I had purchased MI 4+ 64GB – BLACK cellphone on 20/12/2017 through online by Amazon. They gave me six months warranty, but two days back suddenly my screen’s display got fluttered, then on yesterday i went to the MI Service center (BMCP) at Bhagat Singh Market, Connaught Place, New Delhi there i met with front desk representative said that there might be the problem in the software, so told me to back up all the data from the phone. I did the same and went back another day and gave her, then she took 15 minutes and came back to me and said its internal display has been damaged and it will not cover under warranty due to display internal damage, they after i raised a question to her that how it can be possible without any scratch and dent on the outer shell of the mobile? she replied back ” I don’t know but we can not provide the service of the mobile without extra charges and we got a text message, where they wrote ” your device inspection has now been completed as out of warranty”.
So the first question i would like to know who is responsible for this?
Is it manufacturing defect or my (consumer) fault?
because without any single damage, scratch & dent on the whole body of the mobile how they can decide that it will not consider in warranty period.
I request you to kindly take it as a serious issue of cheating. I really worked hard to collect the amount to purchase this phone.
and for your reference, I am attaching inspection sheet as well , where it is clearly mentioned that externaly no scratches on the handset.
