I was travelling from thailand to Kolkata, from BKK airport(Bangkok) to CCU(Kolkata) on 22nd October, in an early morning flight.
After I landed & cleared immigration(which took approx. 15–20 min), I waited extra 10–15 minutes to receive my check in baggage.
I had already booked Uber & uber driver was waiting for around 10 minutes. So as soon as the backpack arrived, I picked the bag from back strap & wore on my shoulder without checking anything.
Later when I was on the cab & went to open the bag for bottle, I found the bag was opened. Checking further, I found that on my top compartment the documents folder is out of the zip & zip was opened too.
Upon searching, I found their was a missing ?500 note & 10 argentine peso(which a traveller gave me in Japan).
As I was far from Airport to go back, I called Spicejet complaint helpline number at the moment & lodged the complaint. To which they said they will revert back within 48 hours. Further the representative asked to mail the baggage picture as it was found. Which I sent on reaching the home.
What’s next? I didn’t received any reply after that. I called them twice to get the cctv footage, but they said they are working on it & will reply within 48 hours. Later I tweeted the same but received the same response from spicejet. Not once but everyday I am tweeting the same but no response.
I don’t want this to be happen with anyone else, so the accused should be terminated from the airline job.
