Complaint regarding MTS poor speed and network

I had to resort getting MTS dongle due to the unavailability of other service providers in my area. The plan that i had opted for was 8Mbps high speed data till 24GB and 500Kbps post that. I was promised at least a speed of 4-5Mbps in my area upon purchase of the dongle which cost me Rs.1000. But upon activation the speed was worse than the 2G speed in my mobile. When I raised a complaint regarding this to the MTS customer care, I was informed that the maximum speed that I could get was 700Kbps in my area and they closed the complaint without even resolving the issue. When i further pursued this with the customer care I was advised to use the dongle in other areas.

Not only was I made to purchase the dongle and get the connection under false promises, I was charged for the data that I hadn’t used, rather was unable to use and continuously harassed by repeated calls and messages from the MTS people, asking me to pay the entire bill all the while ignoring my complaint. I tried to reason with them and asked them to charge me for the data that I used in the span of 1 and 1/2 months and discontinue the connection.
