These are not “Agarwal Packers and Movers”. I contacted the above mentioned packers for shifting goods from Mumbai to Hyderabad. Firstly, for quotation and goods count , the person from the company came without a proper record and neither did he write anything down. On the day of packing, they pack extra cartons, i.e. goods to be put into one carton now are put separately into 2-3 cartons. They say this wont create any issue, and the goods were supposed to reach Hyderabad in 3 days. After 2 1/2 days, they call and say you have extra cartons and you would have to pay extra for it, or else we wont let the consignment leave from Vashi, Mumbai. After 1 days of explaining it to them, they finally let the consignment leave from Vashi. It reaches Hyderabad in 2 days and now the transport guy harasses and demands 4000 extra, as he says the packers had asked them to collect the remaining amount from them! And now the transport guy intimidates us asking us to pay 4000 or he takes the consignment back. And with no other option and the packers not picking up the phone, we are forced to pay Rs.4000, for no reason and on blackmailing. This is a trick played by this company and am pretty sure many more will be duped by this method. Please help.

  1. There are many unscrupulous packer / movers and it will be very difficult to deal with them unless you have proper documents, bills and receipts. It is always advisable to view and sign the terms and conditions of carriage before you finalise the packers so that you can make them accountable. When you choose a packer you should also see whether they have a branch at the destination place.
