We had got the Airtel Digital TV connection on 16th march’17. We were charged Rs 1750 for the connection(including set-top box) We stopped getting any signal from next day onwards. We were getting that due to bad weather signal is not there.

We called Airtel Digital TV. Their engineer came after he called us 5-6 times. He spent 3-4 hrs to identify the issue. Finally he could identify the issue that there was an issue in central wire and was asking us to pay for the wiring. When we told him that why should we pay extra for central wiring, he agreed and told that next day someone will come to fix the issue. We were given the service engineer’s contact no.
We tried reaching the service engineer, but he didn’t pick-up the call. We waited for the entire day but no one turned up. When my husband called up Airtel, the service person spoke to him rudely.
I again wrote a mail, my husband again got a call that service person will visit but again no one turned up(My husband had to take half day off for this).
Then I again wrote a mail, where I requested Airtel for a full refund and that they should take back their set-top box. I got a call from them, that he will talk to area manager and will get our problem fixed this time. But we are already pissed off with the service and would not want to bear with this for entire year. So I asked them to remove the connection and take their set-top box back and refund me my amount. That person said that they can refund only Rs 200-300. I asked him that I have already paid Rs1750 and haven’t used their service even for a day. But he said they cannot refund more than this.
I don’t want to continue with Airtel Digital TV and just asking to take their set-top box back and provide me refund for the services which I haven’t used anyways.
