Complaint regarding product delivery by Amazon

Worst experience with Amazon.

I had placed an order on 5th October and it reached my city on 11th October. From 11th October to 17th October Amazon is daily updating the status as ‘Customer requested for rescheduling of delivery’ without even contacting me.

The delivery person never contact me and on calling him several time from my side he never pick the call. Each day Amazon is committing for delivery and each day they are updating the wrong status.

Finally I requested to cancel my order, but they have set the pick up date to return the item. How can I return the item which is not yet delivered. Not sure what needs to be done. Worst experience.
