Complaint regarding Redmi Note 3 defects

I had purchased a Redmi Note3 phone via Mi India website. Received the order on 30th Dec16.On 25th feb17,while on a phone call the mobile suddenly got Switched Off.Since then its dead with a Blank screen.
I registered the complaint with Mi customer care on 26th feb17 & 6thMar17,after several followups got the address of local service center.Got the phone inspected at their authorised service center on 14th Mar17 & 01 Apr17.
Was shocked to know that a Brand New phone had severely water damaged parts with rust allover them with visible water marks.
Major parts like Main Board Assembly,Sub-board Assembly,Liquid Display Assembly & battery & other major parts were heavily damaged & accounted for a total cost of repairs amouting to approx. 9000Rs.,whereas the cost of the phone itself is 10000 rs.
Mi india is denying the responsibility & putting the onus on me for the damage.Its not taking the warranty claim & denying the suitable replacement or doing suitable repairs itself as regulated the Laws of our country.( which it itself claims to abide by)
Instead ive been harassed from last 1.5 months by wasting time in calling their customer service centres numerous no. of times .I have also written emails to them with detailed pics of inner damage of the phone but to my bad luck no suitable reply or action has been taken.
Damaged Battery & other electronic parts could have put my Life in danger as the phone could have exploded causing Fatal injury to me or my family while placing a call using it or charging the device.
Kindly help me by getting the Total paid amount of 10600 Rs. back & 20000 Rs. as compensation in lieu of putting my Life in danger & causing me mental harassment by the kind of treatment i was meted by Mi India.
Also kindly put a check on these kind of mobile phone manufacturers who knowingly sell defective & potentially dangerous products online & that too without any ground stores,eventually putting precious lives of consumers in India at a high risk.
