I had placed an order on 18th May 2016 for PURPLE FEATHER Black Pencil skirt using the Myntra app on my mobile device. The price of the product was placed at Rs.974, since I already had some money into my account, I had to pay Rs.324.06 for the Skirt.The product was delivered to me on 23rd May 2016.
The very same day I had raised an exchange request for a larger size since the product did not fit me. I packaged the product the same way, using the same transparent cover sent my Myntra. I did not notice then that the price tag as well as the Barcode sticker was missing on the transparent cover .
Upon raising the request, a new Order was placed (Order #118721642). The delivery person arrived on 27th May to exchange the products, but he refused because the barcode sticker was missing from the package.
I called up Myntra customer service and tried to reason with them sending them pictures of the item. I explained that I have used the same materials to pack the Product that was originally used by Myntra. If they have not send me the Barcode/Item tag with the package, I cannot send the same back to them. But even after these explaination Myntra refused to accept the exchange.
I have shopped from Myntra and other Online shopping portals before many times, this is the first time I am facing such an issue.
Why am I being penalised for Myntra’s negligence during packaging to product?
