Complaint regarding services from Gati International

This courier company , Gati international movers and packers Bengaluru . They charged me for 120kg . The consignment was for Lagos Nigeria . They came for survey on 21st . My suitcases were packed . They had to pack one carton . On 23rd March 2019 they came packed carton and left with 6 pieces of baggage . All together the weight was 114 kg but I was charged for 120 kg . I paid for baggage , insurance and gst . Gati courier then connected with Aramex . Aramex refused to take all suitcases . With out my knowledge and permission my locked bags were opened by ripping the zip open . I was given Aramex receipt with barcode and tracking numbers . In fact two receipts as after opening my 6 pieces of baggage they put my items in 4 cartons . Each receipt is show two cartons . Now actual weight is 104 kg for 4 cartons but was charged for 116 kg . For 24 hours my consignment was untraceable on the two tracking numbers . After a lot of insisting I was given two new tracking numbers . On these receipts actual weight is 46.35 kg , chargeable 48 kg and on the second receipt actual weight is 52.21 kg chargeable is 54.16 kg . Total chargeable wt is 102 kg . I have paid for 18 kg excess . Also I would like to bring to your notice that I was charged for insurance of 500000 value . No policy papers were given until I insisted . This means Gati would have pocketed the money . I wonder if they even deposit the gst . I want to visit the physical location of Gati office . I went to the office printed on the receipt and booking form by Gati . Address given is wrong . Does not exist . Additional phone numbers given are wrong . I called . On the website too wrong information is given . Please visit gatiinternational.in , you will have your proof . I was so hassled that I even went to the police station . Gati does not know their job , m being told madam you have tracking numbers so why do you need receipt . I feel some of my stuff has been stolen as the weight of my consignment has reduced by 18 kg from the time I handed my bags till the date that my bags were opened and my things were shifted to cartons and shipped . Anything could have been taken out of the cartons or put in the cartons . My consignment is supposed to be delivered by 4th March 2019 . That is when Iwill know what is missing or any contraband could have been put with my things . Therefore I am putting this complaint even before my consignment reaches me . Please look into this matter as I do not want any one else to be cheated and hassled like I was . Further more when I asked for refund they refused .

  1. I aggree to it. Same incident happened to me, I have received my package yesterday from the shippment occurred from Bengaluru and most of the products were missing from my locked baggage. When the Baggage was shipped, it was 16kg and the baggage received was 12 kg only, all the important items were stolen from it. Please advise what steps to be taken.
