I, Krishnakumar D N would like to represent this complaint in front of you due to cheating of CLAY Telecom Ltd, an International SIM Provider which is a subsidiary of Falcon Business Resources Pvt. Ltd and corresponding inconvenience and distress followed. Mr. Axxxxl Cxxxxxxn (D-158-B, Okhla, NewDelhi-1) who introduced himself as an executive from CLAY Telecom Ltd. distributed International SIM cards to most of the scientists in DST conference hall at New Delhi, by promising reasonable rates. As per his pamphlet, outgoing calls were only chargable at the rate of $0.5 per min and no hidden charges would be bearded by the customer other than call charges and service tax. As most of the scientists going abroad for the first time, they have opted for it to remain in contact with the family members. But to my sadness, they have come down heavily on us by charging enormously after our trip violating all the promises by charging $1.99 per minute for outgoing calls, approximately 4 times the promised tariff. Several email and phone communication were made in this regard but CLAY Telecom Ltd explained that they have revised the charges and they can only charge the prevailing rate. Conversation with Ms. Sxxxi Mxxxa, a Senior executive from CLAY also did not result any good conclusion. I intimated that I would be lodging a complaint in consumer column if they have not replied. Later Mr. Axxxl cxxxxxxn himself comes with the confession that they made a mistake and they had agreed for a settlement of Rs. $1 per min for outgoing calls. Incoming calls would be free as per their earlier agreement. They also agreed to waive all other extra charges except the service tax as promised by them earlier. As per their demand I had send the corrected invoice in a sheet, and till now they have not repayed the amount. I have payed an amount of Rs. 6231/- as per their earlier invoice. Hence I need to get a refund of Rs. 2957/- as per the mutually agreed tariff . But to my sadness I did not get the amount so far. I strongly feel that this confession drama and promise of refund was another fraud move by the company to get money from the defaulters. This type of incident would be highly appalling and mentally harassing for a common Government servant like me and it tarnish the image of all the mobile service providers. I request you kindly do the needful at the earliest. I have full copy of the email conversations with the company which can be produced if required as proof. This is for your kind perusal and I would be obliged for your kind consideration.
