I had purchased a Philips Home Theatre (model NO. SPA8140B/94) from Janata Watch & Electronics; Bidhan Market Siliguri, West Bengal on 10/06/2017. I paid Rs. 6000 for this product and I have a bill with me .I did not checked the printed MRP that time as I was in a hurry and they told me the actual price is Rs.6500 and they will give me Rs.500 discount and then I purchased the product and came home. Later, I came to know that they have deleted its printed MRP from the box. After few weeks I visited one electronic shop in Sevoke Road, Siliguri and I saw the same product which I had purchased and I asked the price there but I was shocked after knowing the price. It was printed Rs. 4990 and they were ready to sell the product at Rs. 4500 after discount . After that I visited Janata Watch & Electronics and I asked them to return the extra money which they have charged from me but they denied and told me that “Raat gayi baat gayi”. I even told them that I have a proof i.e., bill with me but they told me that “this bill has no value as some of the customers request them to increase the value on the written bill.” Please help me.
