Failure to deliver by Air India

I am a South African and am booked to return from Abu Dhabi to South Africa on 19 January 2015 via South African Airways.

I have booked an internal return ticket with Air India from Abu Dhabi to Bangkok via Delhi on 10 January 2015 and returning on 18 January 2015.

My agent told me that Air India just suddenly cancelled the flight and are dilatory and evasive since from taking responsibility for their action and fulfil the Consumer’s Rights in terms of IATA Regulations.

The damages loss that I will suffer will be over R100 000.00 as three other family members are travelling on the holiday but with Emirates Airlines and they are my dependants and as a result they will not be able to travel without me on that trip. Therefore I stand to lose all my money because of Air India’s action.
