Fine on Non Maintaining minimum balance

I have opened salary account in HDFC Bank jayanagar branch bangalore near ashoka pillar in 2016. After one year I left the job due to some health problems then they converted my account into savings account without informing me after few months i again joined company they told me to give account to transfer salary i gave HDFC bank account . After salary came 2500 deducted from bank i went bank asked them why my 2500 rs deducted from account then they told me that for non maintaining minimum balance and again they converted mu account into salary account. After few months I left the job and again they converted my account into savings account from that month.Every month they are deducting 600. I spoke with customer care they told me to pay 8000 rs to close your account, 8000 is a huge amount for me i am a middle class person i can feed one month for my family for that amount.
