I became a victim of fraudulent transaction worth Rs 38800/- against my SBI credit card on 28/10/2017 after fraudsters managed to get payment credentials. After coming to know of the blunder I blocked the card and filed a written complain with the customer card within an hour giving details of the incident along with the cell numbers from where I got the calls. As per the directive of RBI on Customer protection-Limiting liability of customers in unauthorized Electronic banking transactions” a customer is liable where he/she has compromised with payment credentials untill he/she informs the bank. Kindly update if I’m liable in any way as the bank is pressurizing me pay the amount.
