My SBI debit card (account in Medical Branch, Aligarh) has been used thrice overnight ON 10/10/15 to make online transactions. What is more shocking is that the transactions were made without OTPs. The list of the transactions is as follows:
1) Purchase worth Rs 2110 at PayU with txn# 072517617540 at 1:48am
2) Purchase worth Rs 205.20 at PayU with txn#520611771146 at 2:01am
3) Purchase worth Rs 205.20 at PayU with txn# 072517668376 at 6:55am
I only saw the mobile alerts in the morning and got the card blocked by calling customer care. And on enquiring where the transactions were made, the representative said that she has no idea and they don’t keep transaction records.
I never have shared my card details with anyone. I was lucky enough to lost only Rs 2500, but it’s a serious issue as to how can a bank authorizes transaction without OTP and why they don’t keep a record of it. I request you to kindly look into matter.
