Harassment by MTS even after termination of services

My MTS data card number is postpaid. I applied for disconnection in August ‘2015 for the first time. I continued to get the bills over and over again inspite of clearing the entire outstanding amount with an additional Rs. 1000/- as disconnection charges of a postpaid number. Their employee came to my house to collect it and clicked my picture with his phone and forced his way inside my house and took the device. I had to tell him to get out and broke the device myself. He still said my number would be disconnected in 24 hours.

I then get calls from their lawyer threatening me to pay the bill. I explained to him but he did not listen. I was scared that someone might force his way to my apartment again so I got scared and paid them again although I hadn’t used anything. I called them again and this time the representative told me that previous people I had talked to were irresponsible and he would have someone call me in the morning. Next day morning a decent sounding voice tells me that my number is permanently disconnected and I won;t have to pay any extra amounts. He gave me a reference number 2551420.

Today I got a call from their lawyer again. A lady this time. I tried explaining everything but she was quite arrogant to listen to me properly. So she slammed the phone down saying “so you wont pay the 895/- amount”

Please help me with this. I cannot afford to pay them like this even after permanent disconnection. I mean they have been threatening and harassing me continuously and there is nothing I can do about it.

    Dear Customer,

    We would request you to please write complete concern along with 10 digit MTS number at customercare@mtsindia.in to resolve the issue.

    I have written to you guys over 3 to 4 times. Everytime you have some vague response. Your customer care even said last month that I won’t get any further bills. But still I have been getting bills over and over again.

    Really interesting part is, the device is not being used, still they tell me that I have used some data.

    What kind of liars and cheaters are MTS people? Plus they have lawyers to call and threaten you all the time. Their lawyers call and threaten me every single day.
