HTC One service complaint

I Had submitted my HTC One phone to the service centre for an issue i had with the volume button. The button had come off and hence i could not use the same. There was also an issue with the Camera which had a black spot on the top left corner of the same.

The Job Sheet was 15INA250005569. The phone was submitted at the centre on 16th June 2015 and i was told i would get a quotation within 3-4 days and the phone back after an additional 3 days, i.e. within a week. However 15 days passed and multiple trips to the service centre a quotation had still not yet come. I made a few calls and sent a mail to HTC regarding the same. Spoke with Axxxk about it on mail.

Finally got the quote on 1st July 2015, after 15 days. The quotation for a camera repair and button was 22,378 Rs. They said the motherboard, LCD Display etc had to be also changed as the volume button is apparently connected to it and there are certain parts that when opened cannot be reused.

I find it ridiculous for them to quote me on such a high amount for such a small item. The phone is working fine bar the missing volume button and a new phone with the same features start from 12,000-15,000 Rs.

However they insist that i have to pay for the whole thing and that i cannot just fix one thing or the other.

Also right at first when the quote came they said that there was water damage causing the phone to get spoilt. I do not know if that is true but them telling me that the Motherboard and Display needs to be replaced because a button is not working seems to me like they are cheating me.

The phone has now been with them since the past 24 days. I am handicapped with out the phone and since a lot of my work is done using the same ( I Am A Doctor) and i am using a spare simple phone i am having problems. Please help me with the same. Thank you.
