We had booked a TATA Indigo car (regn. no. MH 47 C 7370) from TATA Prabhadevi outlet – Concorde motors, prabhadevi, Mumbai and had taken delivery of the brand new car on 15th July 2015 for the purpose of getting it to ply on roads as a tourist vehicle through Uber. The very next day after we took delivery i.e. 16th July, we saw an error message saying “check engine” and had to take it to the concorde workshop on 17th July itself. We were told that there was some issue with a wiring which was supposedly sorted but that the issue of the engine would be sorted later for which we would get an appointment on next week – Tuesday. In the meanwhile we were told by Mr Nxxxxt Sxxxxt at Concorde workshop that it was safe to take the car back on the road. My driver who then took it out of the workshop saw fumes coming out a little while later from the bonnet and had to douse the fire on the road. we had to call the workshop again and reach out to the toll free no. from where the towing service was called in. We visited concorde showroom on saturday 18th July, 2015 and handed over written complaint to concorde motor official, Pragati Panchal. wef 20th July, we’ve been the ones following up with multiple people from concorde Motors and from Tata Motors. No positive response till date from TATA/Concorde.
