My bill generally comes to about Rs 1000/month and I have been using Vodafone services since 8 years. This month my bill came upto Rs. 9000 and I did not even use much of internet, neither was I roaming. This was purely a mistake from their customer care agents.

When I asked for an “add on” plan, they misdirected me to add a “booster plan” instead. This booster plan is not pertaining to me since it is meant for only unlimited data users which I told them I clearly was not and they were also aware from their side.  This mistake cost me 2 GB worth of extra data charged at Rs 4/MB.

I have proof of SMS which the agent told me to send. Now when I call the helpline they refuse to acknowledge any such phone call ever took place. When I ask them for the record of phone talkI had with their agent. They refuse claiming that it is only for internal purpose and I would require a court order to get such information.

I now look to public grievance forums for help. Kindly hear my plea and guide me towards the nescessary steps for getting about this issue.

Any information will be much appreciated.
