I bought Nokia Lumia 925 Premium category Smart Phone in Oct-2013 online from Tradus.com. After 1 month of use its Audio jack stopped working for no reason. I gave it for repair at Nokia Service centre Hadapsar, Pune. They took one whole month to fix the small issue. Later in year 2014 I faced hanging problem with the phone but I managed to fix the issue with Hard reset 2 times as instructed on Nokia Lumia support website. In
June-2014, I moved to Australia with the phone and put the Australian sim card and it was working fine. However, in April-2015 my phone was hanged again and didn’t come up. It was actually dead. Since Its warranty was over even though I sent the phone back to India to my brother to get is repaired. My brother submitted the phone at Akshay care, Shivaji Nagar service centre for repair. After few days they said they have to send this device to Bangalore as they are not able to fix it. They also gave an estimate of 8000/- if repaired at bangalore. I had no option than to wait for another month to hear back from them. After couple of days, they called up and said the Phone is not repairable because of some major issue of its mother board and handed back the device.
I was very much disappointed with the answer and lost all my hopes to get it fixed. Later I decided to escalate the issue with Nokia itself because I could hardly use the phone for 1.5 years. Then I logged a complaint (ref. no. 1305989121) and I have been told that I will receive a call from technical support. Mr. Bxxxxxxh called and confirmed that he can see the repair history of the phone and due to major fault in the device they can not fix it and they closed the complaint. I again escalated the issue to the next level complaint (ref. no. 1306192506) this time we received the call saying the same thing and closed the call. they also mentioned it will take 80% of the cost if they repair it and give no guarantee of it.
I called Microsoft Lumia Customer care in Australia (1300 366 733 toll free) and they said I need to escalate this issue in India only and they cannot find the details here. I strongly doubt on it as IMEI is a globally unique no. and the details can be seen from any part of the world.
Now, I decided to bring this matter to Consumer forum of India to take care of the case. Please help me because, it seem to have a manufacturing defect or poor quality components were used which could not survive for a long time.
