Overcharging of gold rate

I purchased Diamond Necklace from TANISHQ, Valasaravakkam on 27/04/2017 at 4.45 pm. The market rate at that time in Chennai was only Rs.2769 (The Hindu). But TANISHQ charged at Rs.2801 for 22 carat. This was not explained to me at the time of purchase. When I raised this issue on 28/4/17 they replied that this was their company’s general practice. After an argument of 30 minutes with various staff of the shop, finally they proposed to give a discount at my next purchase. The company should be legally penalised for quoting gold rate much above the market rate. I have compared only the gold rate. If their Diamond rate is compared with the market rate then the actual loss to the customer like me can be correctly measured.
