I booked a imported bird feed pellets Parcel (less than 250gms) to Chennai address from Namakkal DTDC courier office on 15th May 2015 wrt ref. no C59849574.

However, after 5 days I came to know that the parcel was not sent to the destination. The parcel was missed by the courier staff on route to Salem DTDC office. Due to this there was no entry made in the register itself.

Unfortunately I missed the original receipt and hold only scanned/xerox copy of the courier receipt.Now when I filed a complaint with Mr.Sxxxxxxr of Namakkal DTDC office, he refuses to settle claim since Original receipt is not available.

It is my mistake that the receipt was missed, but that doesn’t mean that claim cannot be entertained. How can someone lose a product and still say it cannot be claimed because as per their process they need original receipt.
DTDC Namakkal office is ready to settle Rs.2000 which is the worth of the product if I can produce the original receipt.I have attached the scanned copy of the receipt.
