OSRTC (Orissa Road Transport Corporation Ltd) runs its buses through various routes in Odisha. My complaint is regarding the worst condition of its bus running between Berhampur and Nawarangpur via Parlakhemundi. I have already lodged my complaint before the OSRTC Authority through email in detail. It has already been more than a week but so far they have not responded to my mail. Its a High Tech Bus and so we pay High Tech charges but it’s condition is no better than an ordinary one. Push Back is not working for some seats, almost all the hand rests not available even some leg rests are not there. Conditions becomes furious during winter nights since the windows are not air tight at all. Neither it is replaced by a new one nor it is maintained properly. There is no Complain box in the bus. I think OSRTC intentionally neglects the above route and also doesn’t care the Complaints of its customers. Since I have to frequently travel through this bus with no other option to visit between Jeypore and Parlakhemundi I have to stay awake most of my night journeys. Being a consumer I want to lodge complaint against OSRTC why they should not be penalised or kindly guide me how to bring a solution to the above problem.

  1. @ Radhashyam, sending emails may not be effective. We suggest you submit a complaint letter to the transport ministry and make an application under RTI to know what steps have been taken on your complaint letter.
