I booked a ticket from Red Bus against travel date of 2nd Oct’17 from Pune to Bangalore of Citizen Travels. On Red Bus website, bus pick up time was mentioned from Jahangir Hospital, Pune at 5:50pm & arrival time to Bangalore was mentioned as 7:59am. I had 3 meetings lined up in Bangalore starting from 9:30am onward that’s why I booked ticket taking good in hand time. I reached to pick up point in-time at Pune & bus arrived at 6pm as well. But bus left Pune at 8pm & reached Bangalore at 11am on 3rd Oct’17. When I asked bus driver & attendant about delay they said this is right time & Red Bus updated wrong timing on their website.
Subsequent to that I sent mail to Red Bus for refund & compensation of Rs 10000 against that. In 1st reply from Red Bus (7th Oct’17), they confirmed that Red Bus has taken it with Travel Operator & Travel Operator accepted this concern & said will not repeat this problem again. When I again sent them mail for refund, I got 2nd reply from Red Bus (9th Oct’17) saying the bus got delayed because of traffic so there won’t be any refund.
Different version of Red Bus confirmed that they are not accepting any issue at their end. Because of late arrival I was threatened from my seniors about job since those were important meetings.
When someone cancels bus ticket not as per Red Bus time band, Red Bus charges them absorbetently high amount.
Whether this issue created by Red Bus, by not updating correct time or by Bus Operator starting late from Pune, I paid amount for arrival time at 7:59am to Bangalore. I need my amount refunded. I checked on Red Bus website, they have changed pick up time from Pune.
Please help me in getting my ticket amount refund & compensation amount.
