I purchased a Pigeon 5 ltr pressure cooker on 16-05-2015 which has a 5 years warranty against manufacturing defects. I use it 2-3 times a week since I have another bigger one which I use mostly. Within 3 months, the pressure started leaking out through the cover and I took it to their Authorised service Centre. The person changed the gasket, charged Rs. 66/- for the gasket and did not even bother to explain why the gasket should go off so fast. After use of another 3 months, the problem has again started. Unless I hold the handles firmly for 4-6 minutes, the leaking pressure will not stop. I wrote to their consumer care centre more than twice through email but they have not responded. I cannot go on changing the gasket for ever. I strongly suspect that there is defect in the manufacture.
