Regarding defective product from Ebazar Ninja

I oredred powerbank for ebazar ninja on 27.7.2016. I rececived the product within 1week. But when I try to use it, its not working. very next moment i tried their customer care but no one respond to that call. So i drafted a mail for replacement or repayment. For the first mail I didnt get any reply but for the second mail I got a ticket number on 10.08.2016. And on 17.08.2016 they forwarded a mail saying you crossed 48hr policy.

I wonder is the 48hr policy applicable on their mail reply or the date i draft the mail. Sending damaged product and reverting after 48hrs and saying policy is over.
