I have a saving account in HDFC bank, Anand Vihar branch. Due to some personal emergencies I was unable to maintain minimum balance of 10000 in my account. As a result the bank deducted Rs 2500 from my account in 2 months. They could have simply stopped any transaction in that case. Maintaining a minimum balance of 10,000 is not always possible. Bank should not take customer’s money from his account without the consent.
