I purchased a new Microsoft mobile on 20 November, 2015 and it was insured from the New India Assurance Company Limited on the same day – “IRN105265, Insurance activated on IMEI 358608068502861, Total amount paid: Rupees 599”. As of now, the phone is in warranty and covered by insurance as well.

Recently on 25 February, 2016 the phone was not getting charged with my charger – later on I went to the shop and tried with a new charger. Even after trying with a new charger, it was not taking any charge at all and the owner of the shop (from where I purchased the mobile) called the insurance guy named Mr Gxxxxxm Dxxxs (YMS038). According to Mr. Dxxxs, I will not get the insurance as the pin of the charging point is damaged which is not under insurance coverage. I already read Mobile_Assurance_User_Guide.pdf in their site and I know all the 38 excluded perils – not sure which one he is referring to in this occasion.

For your information – this is not a case of negligence of the beneficiary because peril 11 itself is vague to establish every case as a negligence from beneficiary.

Can you please look into this matter?
