I had ordered a Kent water purifier via SHOPCLUES on the 12th of October, 2016. Although the above order was accepted at the time of booking, and the full amount was paid via debit card, the order was latter cancelled by the SHOPCLUES team, due to the fact that the item is unavailable.
The refund for the same was to be credited back to my account by the 24th of October, 2016 (according to the mail I received from them). However even on 25th of October the same was not done.
How is it possible that SHOPCLUES does not have any account of their stock in hand on displayed products?
Moreover, it must also be noted that other online shopping websites were also giving large discounts on the aforementioned product (although they had listed the same product at marginally higher prices, and hence I ordered on Shopclues in the first place). The fact remains that SHOPCLUES cost me the opportunity to buy the product, due to their own error. Should the corporation not be held responsible for this? Also how much longer should I have to wait to atleast get the money back?
