Pass pass pulse candy has rapidly become popular among all the age groups in India. It appears that, salt content of this product is very high and may lead to excess intake of NaCl -which is a well known risk factor for hypertension and problems that arise from it like heart failure, stroke etc.

Company hasn’t mentioned the exact amount of salt per unit or per 100 gms on their product. This is potentially misleading and hazardous to the health. I haven’t received any answer to this question from company in spite of e mail to them.
