I owned Reliance datacard #9xxxxxxxx7. It got damaged and was not working and so went to nearby Reliance Communication centre (Madhapur) and requested for cancel, operator asked me to call customer care…customer care asked to go to store…after lot of follow-up finally customer care took the request and took up the request and registered a ticket for cancellation #231539555. I was told that datacard would be cancelled in 7 working days.

I duly paid the bill for that month though I was not using my datacard (Damaged). Bill was generated for subsequent month as well. I spoke to customer care at length and he requested me to pay the amount and promised that further bill will not be generated. I obliged and paid bill of 439/- as well for subsequent month (Though I stopped using datacard and cancellation request was logged).

Inspite of that bills got generated for subsequent 2-3 months with delay charges as well. I used to get calls from customer care every alternate day and I told the same to every person patiently. They used to inform that they will update the ticket and do the needful. I would have got easily 100 odd calls.

Today (12-sep) legal team called me to enquire on the bill, I told them the same and asked them why should I be paying for 4-5 months for service I’m not availing.

Customer care never responds to my requests on cancellation but are prompt on bill payments. Most ridicuous service I’ve ever seen. Also I don’t know even If they understand what customer means in service industry.

I also got legal email from reliance (Some court order from High court). They still continue to harass their customer for no service provided.

I continue to fight it and the outstanding bill now stands @1732/-. It’s not the money that matter. it is their audacity that concerns me and that they threatening us with this legal would push us to pay the bill.

I wow to fight it till the end…but I will ensure none of my friends avail service from this vendor and also will encourage them to move out. Let my case be lesson for all who are looking forward to availing their services.

Word of caution: Their customer service sucks big time and they are more interested in bill payments then service and none of your service requests will be entertained. I tell this from my service.
