I have ordered “FRESHO MEAT Chicken Leg – Without Skin 1 kg” with some more few items from BigBasket on 03/07/2016 (Order No: BKOFVO-12324905-030716) and it was delivered on 04/07/2016 morning time slot.
When I have received the chicken item it was packaged in the plastic cartoon and I have seen the Packaging date was 04/07/2016. But after 1 hour of delivery when I am going to open the packet to cook the chicken I found it was Smelling very bad, and after checking properly I realized it’s a rotten/stale chicken meat.

Then immediately I called BigBasket customer care No 18601231000 and reported it and the customer care executive stated that we can not refund money until the item is being returned, also stated we can not return/replace the item immediately until getting a next available slot for pickup. Then the customer care executive given me a Complaint No: 4676085489 and said that the item will be picked up on next day 05/07/2016 between 09:30 am and 12:00 pm, which is beyond 24 hours.
Please find the attached file of Invoice, product image and mail copy.
Till now the stale chicken is in my home.

  1. After keeping that stale chicken more than 24 hours in my home, on next day (05/07/2016) at 11:30 am one bigbasket guy came and picked up the item for return.
    And again after 24 hours on 06/07/2016 they have refunded the money into my bigbasket wallet.
    They did not given any value for that harassment and inconvenience.
    Really very very slow and pathetic service I have ever experienced from Bigbasket.
    I will never trust on it.
