Snapdeal not replacing the defective product

I had ordered a room heater from snap deal. Order Number : 3916938420, Product : (Orpat OEH-1220 Room Heater).

They delivered the product after the scheduled date, which then turned out to be defected. The product is not working at all.

Snap deal has policy of easy return within 7 days but when I queried for the same they denied to return the product. After many calls all I got was an insincere assuarance of redressal and no follow up action was taken. But i persisted.

Finally after many exasperating attempts, they intiated my request-to-return. The product was to be picked up by Saturday (20/12/2014).

I got a call from the man incharge for the pickup, on Monday at around 2 pm. But he failed to turn up. On enquiring about his status the man refused to pick the defected product up. He gave a silly reason that his “quota” for today was over. In addition, he asked me to reach out to him instead, if I needed the product.

The delivery-man had called me from the number : 8285225512

It has been more than 15 days now and people at Snapdeal have still not responded favourbly. When I called the customer care all they had to say was a sorry and the same old promise which has never turned into action: Again, the person that was supposed to collect the product today did not turn up. (His details are follows: Sxxxxh Kxxxxr(8xxxxxxxx7))

Please help me out.
