76. Non-receipt of refund from Travelchacha – Rs.14,144/- (booking dates 5.11.2010 and 12.11.2010)

Mr. Prakash Barua of Bangalore, Karnataka (Email: Email: barua1946@gmail.com) had posted a complaint with ICF on 16-12-2010 with regard to non-receipt of refund from Travelchacha against cancellation of ticket by them as they could not deliver the ticket in time. Inspite of repeated reminders by Mr. Barua, the refund was not forthcoming. ICF submitted the complaint to Travelchacha and after a couple of email exchanges Mr. Barua finally got his refund amount on 27-12-2010.

77. Complaint regarding refund from Yatra.com – Rs.9,356

Ms. Neetu Singh of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh (Email: parihar03@gmail.com) had booked a Air India flight ticket through Yatra.com which subsequently got cancelled on 07-11-2010. Ms Singh had submitted her request for refund and had also the Airlines endorsement for cancellation. Even after a month she did not receive refund and posted her complaint with ICF on 11-12-2010. She got her refund on 28-12-2010.

78. Refund complaint against MakeMyTrip.com – Rs.18,000

Mr. Umesh Rawool of Haryana (Email: umeshrawool@gmail.com) had cancelled his booking for holiday package from Mumbai to Goa with MakeMyTrip on 22-11-2010. He did not get his refund inspite of repeated calls and he posted his complaint with ICF on 24-12-2010. ICF presented the complaint to MakeMyTrip and Mr. Umesh got his refund on 04-01-2010.

79. Mediclaim reimbursement complaint against Oriental Insurance / Raksha TPA – Rs.2,00,000/-

Mr. Manoj Agrawal of Powai, Mumbai, Maharashtra (Email: agrawalmanoj@hotmail.com) posted a complaint with ICF on 03-06-2010 in connection with settlement of his mediclaim reimbursement for the Vascular surgery (jugular vein), which he had submitted to Oriental’s TPA Raksha TPA on 05-03-2010. ICF took up the matter with Raksha TPA and Oriental Insurance and finally Mr. Manoj Agrawal got reimbursement in July 2010.

80. Complaint against Travelchacha for cancellation refund – Rs.61,080/-

Dr. Pramod Solanki of Powai, Mumbai (Email: pramod.personal@gmail.com ) had booked tickets for his family using Travelchacha and had subsequently cancelled the tickets in November 2010. The tickets were worth Rs.80,000/- and Travelchacha were delaying the refund inspite of Dr. Solanki’s repeated communication with them. Dr. Solanki posted his complaint with ICF on 26-12-2010 and after continuous follow-up with Travelchacha he got his refund on or about 22-01-2011.

81. ATM withdrawal complaint against Bank of India – Rs.3,000/-

Mr. Mandar Chandrakan Gurav of Girgaon, Mumbai (Email: mandar2k4@yahoo.co.in) had tried to withdraw a sum of Rs.3,500/- from Bank of India’s ATM at Kalbadevi. He however received Rs.500/- only instead of Rs.3,500/- but his account got debited for Rs.3,500/-. In spite of regular follow-ups with the bank his account was not credited for the wrong debit. He posted his complaint with ICF on 12-01-2011 and subsequently got refund by 30-01-2011.

82. Complaint against Parsvnath for refund of security deposit – Rs.15,000/-

Mr. Rajat Sethi of Gurgaon, Haryana (raja.sethi@tridenthotels.com) had paid Rs.15,000/- to Parsvnath, Shahadra in 2004 as refundable security depot for maintenance. He was assured refund of security deposit amount by November 2010 however he was not paid the same. He posted a complaint with ICF on 24-01-2011 and he subsequently got his refund by 06-02-2011.

83. Bagittoday refund – Rs.3,298/-

Mr. Hemant Rai, Bhopal, MP (rai.hemant@gmail.com) posted a complaint with ICF against Bagittoday for his order placed with them. He got his refund from Bagittoday – Rs.3298 by 07-02-2011.

84. Bagittoday order complaint – Refund Rs.7,498/-

Mr. R.K.Sankyan, New Shimla, HP (rksaqnkyan@gmail.com) posted a complaint with ICF on 09-11-2010 for his order placed with Bagittoday. He got his refund from Bagittoday Rs.7,498/- by 08-02-2011.

86. ITBC/Bagittoday.com – non-delivery of order:

Mr. Syed Rahim, Rajarhat, Kolkata 700156, West Bengal (Email: avonnov@gmail.com) ordered 2 Benetton watches on April 29, 2009(Order number 0GA090039281) and paid in advance via credit card. 3 weeks later he received only 1 watch. Since then he has been in touch with ITBC/Bagittoday but to no avail. He posted his complaint with ICF on 03-03-2011 and subsequently he received his complementary order on or about 29-03-2011

87. Refund from Makemytrip – Rs.4273/-:

Mr.Ujjal Baruah, Bangalore 560084(Email: jieu2969@gmail.com) had cancelled tickets during 1st/2nd week of January 2011 but did not get the refund amount until April 12, 2011 despite taking up the matter with MMT on regular basis. He posted his complaint on 12-04-2011 and subsequently the complaint was submitted to MMT. Mr. Baruah finally got his refund on 15-04-2011.

88. Refund from VRL Bus Service – Rs.3,460/-:

Ms. Sneha Kulkarni, Bangalore 85, Karnataka (Email: kulsneha@gmail.com) had tried to book bus tickets on 28-03-2011 through VRL Bus Service however her transaction got failed though a sum of Rs.3460/- got deducted from her account. She posted her complaint with ICF on 29-04-2011 and finally got her refund on or about 30-04-2011.

89. IPL 2011 tickets through Ticketgenie – Refund of difference money Rs.5,400/-:

Mr. Vineet Agarwal, WEST BENGAL (Email: itz.vinny88@gmail.com) had booked 6 tickets for the KKR Vs RR at Eden Gardens to be held on 17/4/2011. through the official website of ticketgenie). He had booked the tickets for L Block for Rs 1800.00 but later came to know that the prices have been reduced to Rs.900.00). He got a mail confirmation that the difference money will be refunded with 25 days which he did not. He posted his complaint with ICF on 21-04-2011 which was taken up with Ticketgenie. Mr. Agarwal got refund on or about 05-05-2011.

90. Defective Nokia C7:

Ms. Vinita Hingorani, Indore, M P (Email: vinita.hingorani@gmail.com) purchased Nokia C7 from Nokia dealer on 14-03-2011. Since day one she was having problem with the loudspeakers which used automatically go off whenever a call is made or received. She presented the set to the service center couple of times but the problem remained. She posted her complaint with ICF on 21-04-2011. ICF processed the complaint and also advised her to claim refund/replacement as the defect was a manufacturing defect. Ms. Vinita finally got refund on or about 06-05-2011.
