This is to bring to your notice about an incident with Wok Express dated 25.2.2017. I ordered a Chilli Paneer Bao and Crystal Dumplings from their Kemp’s Corner outlet through Zomato, bill no – 222340816. Even the bill says Chilli Paneer Bao.
When the order came it, the outlet had sent Chilli Chicken Bao instead of a Chili Paneer one. The container didn’t even have a sticker to identify and I did end up myself eating the Bao to then realize it was Chicken and not Paneer.
I called the outlet to check why wasn’t the order checked before it was dispatched and they mentioned that it is a Saturday night hence they faced trouble to check everything.
My problem was that not only the order wasn’t checked the fact is that people trust these restaurant to have different kitchens and making sure they respect the sentiment of the veg & non-veg food. To the extent that there has to be a difference between veg and non-veg kitchens.
I requested to speak to the Owner/Manager and 15 mins later the Manager did come home to apologise and gave the replacement. I refused to take the replacement and pushed to know why this occurred. But the fundamental problem is making such a mistake and not doing anything about it. I even brought this up to the Zomato team and asked for a written apology from Wok Express on why such a miss and making not this doesn’t ever occur with anyone. This written documentation never came to me.
I request a thorough enquiry into this their operations & logitstics making sure this never happens with anyone else.
